Community Support Project

Bringing people together to raise funds and support charities, organisations and grassroots projects making a real difference to families and communities in need across the globe.
Community supporting community, wherever it’s needed.

A community fundraising initiative

A community fundraising initiative operated by The Jasper Community Space. We run individual crowdfunding campaigns supporting people, families, communities and organisations experiencing hardship. The Jasper Support Project is not a registered charity.

The Jasper Support Project was created with a simple purpose: to bring people together to help people.

Across the world there are families and communities facing poverty, natural disasters, displacement and circumstances where access to food, shelter, education, training and other basic necessities can be incredibly difficult.

We believe that when a community comes together, even small contributions can collectively create meaningful change.

Through The Jasper Support Project, we run individual fundraising campaigns for specific people, families, communities, charities and grassroots organisations where we believe our community can make a genuine difference.

Sometimes this may mean supporting an established charity or community project. Other times, where appropriate, it may mean providing support directly to people and families who need it.

Community support

How It Works

Each Jasper Support Project campaign will have a clear purpose, fundraising target and intended use for the money raised.

Before asking our community to donate, we will explain who or what the campaign is supporting, why we are raising the money, our fundraising target and how we intend the funds to be used.

Depending on the individual campaign, funds may be used to provide things such as:

  • Food and essential supplies
  • Clothing and basic necessities
  • Emergency or disaster support
  • Education and training
  • Community projects and resources
  • Practical support for families experiencing poverty or hardship
  • Donations to charities, non-profit organisations or grassroots projects
  • Direct financial assistance where we believe this is the most appropriate way to help
  • Every campaign will be different, and the intended use of donations will be clearly explained on the individual fundraising page.

Where Does The Money Go?

Our intention is simple: to get the money raised to where it is meant to go.

The Jasper Support Project is not designed to generate profit for The Jasper Community Space.

Unless clearly stated otherwise on an individual campaign, 100% of the money received by us from the fundraiser will be used for the purpose described in that campaign.

Crowdfunding platforms and payment providers may deduct their own transaction or processing fees before funds reach us. Where applicable, we will make this clear.

We will keep fundraising money identifiable within our records and maintain records of how funds have been distributed or spent.

Transparency

Trust matters.

Where appropriate and with respect for the privacy and dignity of the people receiving support, we will share updates showing what a campaign has achieved and how the money has been used.

We don't believe helping someone should require turning their hardship into content.

There may therefore be circumstances where we cannot publicly share photographs, names or personal information about the people receiving support. Where this happens, we will still maintain appropriate records of how the funds have been used.

Direct Support

Some Jasper Support Project campaigns may raise money directly for individuals, families or communities rather than for a registered charity.

Where this is the case, this will be clearly stated on the individual fundraising campaign.

Funds may be transferred directly to recipients or used to purchase agreed goods, services or essential supplies on their behalf.

The Jasper Support Project is not a registered charity, and donations made to our direct-support campaigns should not be treated as donations to a registered charity.

Choosing Who We Support

We want to support projects where we feel there is a genuine need and where the money raised can create meaningful, practical support.

Our focus may include communities experiencing poverty, families facing hardship, children and young people, disaster relief, food and essential supplies, education, skills and training, and grassroots community initiatives.

We will consider each campaign individually rather than committing ourselves permanently to one organisation or cause.

This allows the project to respond to different needs, communities and situations as they arise.

More Than Raising Money

For us, this isn't only about sending money somewhere.

It's about connection, community and remembering that we can make a difference in another person's life.

A £5 donation might feel small on its own. Put hundreds of those acts of generosity together and suddenly there is food on tables, essential supplies reaching families, training being funded or a community project being given the opportunity to grow.

That's the spirit behind The Jasper Support Project.

  • People supporting people.
  • Community supporting community.
  • Small actions creating real change.

Current Fundraising Campaigns

Our active campaigns will be shared here, along with information about who we are supporting, our fundraising target and how you can contribute.

Once a campaign is completed, we will also aim to share an update about what was achieved and where the funds went.

Important Information

The Jasper Support Project is a community fundraising initiative operated by The Jasper Community Space and is not a registered charity.

Each fundraising campaign is operated for the specific purpose described on its campaign page. Donations are voluntary and donors should read the information relating to an individual campaign before contributing.

Where funds are being raised for a registered charity or external organisation, this will be clearly identified. Where funds are intended to provide direct support to individuals, families or communities, this will also be clearly stated.

Any crowdfunding platform or payment-processing fees applicable to a campaign may be deducted before funds are received and distributed.
