About the Event

I could not be more overjoyed to welcome Handpan Joe . After years of following his journeys online after seeing him in York playing his handpan it feels like a true blessing to invite have him here to share his magic.

Join Joe for a Handpan / Rhythm Taster Session to learn about this exciting instrument — the Handpan — and explore The Universal Language of Rhythm. Discover how rhythm can be applied not only to the Handpan but to any instrument.

Here at ONE Rhythm, we believe that EVERYONE is a musician, and with a little help along the way, we can all enjoy making music together in harmony.

About Handpan Joe

Joe has been playing the Drum Kit for over 20 years, developing a deep understanding of rhythm. Guided by a few teachers along the way, his focus was on Jazz — a style based on improvisation and free flow. This approach made it natural for him to transfer his skills to the Handpan, which he discovered 8 years ago.

Since then, Joe has:

  • Recorded 5 solo instrumental Handpan albums
  • Travelled the world playing music
  • Shifted focus from performing to teaching, so others can experience the beauty of rhythm and music

For Joe, Rhythm is a spiritual practice — a way of life.

The Flow

Live Performace

The workshop will be followed by a live performance from Handpan Joe, featuring his love of music, rhythm, and some of his latest songs with lyrics & poetry.
