About the Event

Join Shane and Chris for an immersive day of self love and unity, where yoga, sound, breath, cacao and meditation become gateways back to your natural state of freedom, self expression, inner union and love.

This gathering is an invitation to gently release the weight you have been carrying, the tension, the stories, the unspoken emotions, and to return to the intuitive rhythm of your own body. We will begin with heart opening Yoga and somatic movement then we move onto honouring the sacred plant medicine of Mother Cacao, opening up futher for softening, sensing and reconnecting from within.

As cacao invites you into the heart, you will be guided through meditation honouring the self then deep releasing breathwork, somatic and expressive movement, and a rich sound journey designed to bring you fully back into union and embodied presence. The vibrations of gongs, singing bowls, rattles and shamanic drums will support the nervous system to unwind, allowing energy to move, emotions to express and intuition to lead.

This is not about doing or performing, but about remembering how to listen, to the body, the breath and the subtle inner guidance that knows the way. Through expression, we create freedom. Through freedom, we come home to ourselves.

Together, we will hold a safe and spacious container to explore, release and realign. A place to move what needs moving, sound what needs sounding and feel what needs feeling. You are invited to show up exactly as you are and let your unique expression unfold.

Leave feeling lighter, clearer and more connected, not by becoming something new, but by freeing what has always been within you.

This is a six hour immersion, with nourishing soup, herbal teas and fresh fruit included to support you throughout the day.

How can this retreat help?

This retreat is intentionally designed to support release, expression and reconnection to your intuitive nature. Within a safe and held space, you are invited to gently let go of heaviness, stored tension and emotional burden, allowing your body and breath to guide the process.

Through the heart-opening presence of cacao, breathwork, somatic and expressive movement, and an immersive sound journey, you will be supported to move energy, free blocked expression and reconnect with your inner flow. Sound vibrations help regulate the nervous system, soften resistance and create space for insight, clarity and embodied awareness.

This experience offers an opportunity to step out of the mind and into the wisdom of the body, where intuition leads and expression becomes freedom. As layers release, many people experience a renewed sense of lightness, authenticity and connection, carrying this embodied freedom back into daily life.

Feeling Safe

A safe space to open your heart

Our circles are designed to be a sanctuary of safety, where self-love and self-expression are encouraged and honored. In this space, everyone is free from judgment and supported by a shared intention to heal and connect. Through the soothing energies of sound and the gentle guidance of our practices, participants are invited to turn inward, embracing and honoring their own emotions, needs, and stories. This safe container fosters vulnerability and authenticity, encouraging you to let go of self-criticism and nurture compassion for yourself. Whether through quiet reflection or shared experiences, each person is invited to express themselves freely, creating a sense of belonging, inner peace, and acceptance that lingers long after the circle closes.

Medicine

What is a Cacao Circle?

A cacao circle is a sacred gathering rooted in ancient traditions, designed to foster connection, introspection, and heart-opening experiences. Originating from the indigenous cultures of Mesoamerica, cacao was regarded as a divine plant medicine used in rituals and spiritual practices for thousands of years. Revered as "the food of the gods," cacao was believed to facilitate communication with the spirit world and to deepen personal reflection. Today, modern cacao ceremonies honor this rich heritage while offering participants a gentle, non-psychoactive way to explore mindfulness, emotional release, and a sense of unity.

The benefits of a cacao circle extend beyond its historical and spiritual significance. The natural compounds in ceremonial-grade cacao, such as theobromine and magnesium, promote relaxation, heightened focus, and a sense of well-being. Combined with intentional practices like meditation, music, and sharing, cacao can help participants release emotional blocks, enhance self-awareness, and cultivate a deeper connection to themselves and others. Whether you’re seeking clarity, healing, or simply a nurturing space to reflect, a cacao ceremony offers a warm and transformative journey for mind, body, and soul.

Frequencies

The Benefits of Sound Healing

Experience the profound benefits of sound healing where the vibrational power of sound is used to harmonise body, mind, and spirit. Sound healing works by resonating deeply with our body's natural frequencies, allowing each cell to release tension and restore balance. The gong, in particular, produces a vast range of frequencies that penetrate the body at a cellular level, clearing stagnant energy and promoting deep healing. These sound vibrations help to calm the nervous system, shift brainwaves to a meditative state, and release emotional blockages, allowing for complete relaxation and renewal. Join us in this transformative journey, where you can experience true inner peace and rejuvenation.

Breathe

What is Holotropic Breathwork?

Holotropic and transpersonal breathwork is a powerful, experiential practice that uses conscious, connected breathing, evocative music and a supportive setting to access expanded states of awareness. By shifting the breath, the mind naturally softens its grip, allowing the body, emotions and subconscious to express what is ready to be seen, felt or released. Rather than analysing or forcing change, the journey unfolds organically, guided by the intelligence of your own inner healing process.

Within these expanded states, participants may experience emotional release, physical sensations, imagery, insight or a deep sense of connection beyond the personal self. This transpersonal space can bring a feeling of clarity, unity and renewed perspective, helping to dissolve old patterns and restore a sense of wholeness. Each journey is unique and deeply personal, offering an opportunity to reconnect with intuition, access inner wisdom and return with a greater sense of freedom, embodiment and trust in oneself.

Contraindications

Important: Please Read

Sound Healing

While sound healing is a deeply relaxing and beneficial practice, there are some important contraindications to keep in mind to ensure a safe experience for everyone. People who are in the first trimester of pregnancy, have a history of seizures, or use a pacemaker or other metal implants should consult with a healthcare provider before participating. The powerful vibrations from gongs and other instruments can sometimes create intense resonance within the body, which may not be suitable for these individuals. For pregnant participants beyond the first trimester, sound healing can often be enjoyed safely, but it's best to keep a slight distance from the strongest vibrations, like those from gongs. Additionally, if you have any sensitivity to sound or are prone to anxiety, let the facilitator know so adjustments can be made to ensure a comfortable experience. At our event, your well-being is our top priority, and we're here to help make this journey as safe and enjoyable as possible.

Contraindications For Cacao

Although cacao is safe for most of us some people should take extra precautions for themselves before eating or drinking cacao.

Cacao is contraindicated with antidepressants including some SSRIs and all MORI antidepressants. If you are on high doses, I would not advise drinking a cacao. If you are on smaller doses smaller amounts of cacao are usually ok, but as always consult your doctor. In the weeks leading to the ceremony, you may want to test doses. Start with 5-10g in 250ml of water and see how that is for you. Please note cacao raises serotonin levels significantly.

For people with increased anxiety, a history of seizures, diabetes and heart conditions please consult your doctor before ingesting cacao.

More information on request. If you have asthma, please have your inhaler beside you.

Breathwork

Breathwork is a powerful practice that may involve intense physical, emotional and energetic release and may not be suitable for everyone.

Please do not participate if you are pregnant, have epilepsy or a history of seizures, severe asthma or other serious respiratory conditions, heart conditions or cardiovascular disease, high blood pressure, a history of aneurysm or stroke, glaucoma or retinal detachment, osteoporosis or recent fractures, or have recently had surgery.

Breathwork may not be suitable for those with diagnosed bipolar disorder, schizophrenia, severe psychiatric conditions, unmanaged or acute PTSD, or for anyone currently under the influence of drugs or alcohol.

By participating, you acknowledge responsibility for your own wellbeing and agree to listen to your body at all times. You may rest, slow your breath or stop the practice whenever needed.

If you are unsure whether this practice is suitable for you, please contact the facilitator prior to booking.

Liability

Please note that by purchasing a ticket you agree that The Jasper Cacao Project Ltd and Shane Cooke are not liable for any injury or harm that you may incur at this practice/class & you fully understand the contraindications of ingesting Cacao and breathwork practice. You agree to take full responsibility of yourself, your health, your well-being and all of your belongings whilst at the ceremony.
